Bio/Contact
I am an artist and visual arts facilitator that creates immersive site-specific visual experiences. Referencing histories, patterns in nature and in particular Islamic geometry, my visual language can attract, provoke and challenge spatial and relational perceptions.
My site-specific practice is informed by my studio explorations. Drawing, watercolour painting, paper folding, tile painting, construction, digital imagery, stitching and collage, are all processes I utilises in my Sydney studio.
I consider community engagement and facilitating workshops as key extensions to my practice, fostering inclusion and connection.
I have attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the 1980’s and a Master’s of Art Administration 2012, both at College of Fine Arts, University of NSW. I have won art awards and residencies nationally for my collage, hand painted tile, sculptural and watercolour artworks. Most recently I was selected to exhibit in Hazelhust Art on Paper Award, and Glamfest Residency and Laneway Festival in Broken Hill NSW.

Currently I am working on an artwork that was selected for SWELL Sculpture Festival for Currumbin in September 2024.
Since January 2024, I have been focused on a more performative extension to my practice, conducting weekly Silent Peace Walks on the beaches of Sydney, that anyone is welcome to join.
