This watercolour artwork is a homage to the ubiquitous river red gum that surrounds Broken Hill. Presented in the format of an Orthodox icon, this interpretation of the river red gum is a reminder of the need to care for country. The centre motive is surrounded by a Colonial pressed metal pattern that lines the walls of the Mosque Museum in Ghantown, Broken Hill.
